Ferrari Getto Design Concept for 2025

Elements of racing simulators incorporated into design study of future Prancing Horse.

Design student Christophe Jourd’hui has envisioned a Ferrari of the future, penning a flagship model for 2025. Dubbed the “Getto,” the Italian word for “jet”, the thrust of the design study was to maximize the driver’s experience and sensation behind the wheel of the supercar by virtue of its floating cockpit and incorporating elements of racing simulators in the frame and cockpit construction. The cockpit is said to be sustained by chassis cross-members from above, and jacks mounted in key spots on the structure underneath.While looking fresh, the concept takes styling cues from past classics including the P4, 288 GTO, 250 GTO and the F40. The artist describes his work as a racing car with a two-tone red and carbon finish, with emphasis placed on Ferrari’s history and technical nous. Of course, as an independent design - and a pie-in-the-sky one at that - it won't be going into production, but that doesn't mean a man can't dream, right?

Rumored LaFerrari-based Maserati supercar rendered

Allegedly due in 2015

Anton Gjorsev has digitally imagined Maserati's rumored LaFerrari-based supercar due in 2015.

Looking similar to the recently introducedLaFerrari, this render might have something in common with Maserati's own version which is expected to arrive in 2015. A previous report has indicated the two-seater will lose the hybrid setup of the LaFerrari and feature either the same V12 6.3-liter engine or a quad-turbo 3.8-liter V8 taken from the Quattroporte. Regardless of the engine, power output will be less.

Taking into account it will forgo the hybrid hardware, Maserati's supercar will be lighter and will be available strictly as a coupe. It is believed the electrical, suspension and chassis will be borrowed from the LaFerrari, while some of the body panels will be specially made from carbon fiber.

One of the 1,315 F40s ever made was recently modified by Liberty Walk.

The first noticeable change is without any doubt the white paint since all F40s were painted by Ferrari in the traditional red hue. Liberty Walk is the author of this modified F40 and they decided to blend in the Italian supercar style with a Japanese approach on a legendary car, considered by many to be the last greatest Ferrari to come out of Maranello.

The Japanese tuner also redesigned the F40's rear bumper and installed eight-piston Brembo brakes. Other important tweaks include the custom spoiler and an adjustable air suspension.

Ferrari F12 Berlinetta Spia introduced by DMC Germany

Boasts 764 HP (562 kW)

DMC Germany has released some new details about their tuning program for the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta.

Dubbed the Spia, the model has been equipped with a carbon fiber body kit that includes a front splitter, revised side skirts, a rear diffuser and a 599XX-inspired spoiler. The model also has a carbon fiber hood, tinted taillights, a roof-mounted scoop and 21- / 22-inch forged alloy wheels with Pirelli Sport tires.

No specific interior upgrades were given, but customers can order a bespoke cabin with Italian leather upholstery, carbon fiber trim and a sport steering wheel.

Under the hood, the 6.2-liter (6262cc) V12 engine has been equipped with a titanium exhaust system that enables it to produce 764 HP (562 kW) - an increase of 24 HP (18 kW). Detailed performance specifications were not released but DMC claims the car can hit a top speed of nearly 350 km/h (217 mph).
