Chevrolet has revealed the convertible version of the Camaro Hot Wheels Edition by rolling out a fleet of cars at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Chevy has rolled out the convertible variant of the Camaro Hot Wheels Edition, with 33 examples converging on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway at this week’s 500 Festival. The drop-top Hot Wheels Edition Camaro will hit Chevy dealerships this spring after a limited, one-time production run. The upgrade is designed exclusively for the Camaro 2LT (3.6-liter V6) and 2SS (6.2-liter V8) trims and will likely cost in the region of $6,995 - the amount Chevy charges to upgrade the coupe, on top of the cost of the donor car.
The Hot Wheel package includes a Kinetic Blue metallic paint scheme, red-lined wheels and special decals including flame badges on the fenders and trunk lids. Other exterior touches include matte black elements on the hood and taillight surrounds, the ZL1's spoiler and grille, and 21-inch black alloys. The interior boasts black leather trim with red and black stitching and embroidered logos, black instrument panel and door inserts, and a Hot Wheels flame on each door. The 2013 Camaro Hot Wheels Edition Convertible will serve as the Official Vehicle of the Indy 500, scheduled for May 26. Pace car duties will almost certainly be reserved for the new 2014 Corvette Stingray.
