Might have a range in excess of 200 miles (322 km)
Tesla's vice president of sales has revealed some new details about the company's upcoming roadster.
Speaking to Autocar, George Blankenship said the second-generation model will “push the envelope beyond what anybody else is doing.” He declined to go into specifics but hinted the roadster could accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than four seconds and have a range in excess of 200 miles (322 km).
There's no word on when the model could arrive, but speculation suggests the company is currently focused on the international rollout of the Model S, the upcoming launch of the Model X and the development of an entry-level sedan. If this is correct, the roadster could be approximately five years off.
