Hennessey Performance has once again set a new world record time blasting down on the Texas Mile in a customized Ford GT.
Hennessey Performance never misses a beat when it comes to flat-out speed. If its tuning jobs aren't enough evidence, just look to this latest record set by the Texas-based customizer. Having reached a top-speed of 257.7 mph at the Texas Mile last year with its twin-turbo Ford GT, Hennessey brought its military-themed supercar back again and beat its own record. Armed with a number of enhancements, the Hennessey Ford GT reached an epic 267.6 mph, putting it right on pace with the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.
Impressive as it is in its own right, if Hennessey was able to pull off that kind of upgrade in just one year then we’re stoked to see what’s in store for 2014.
