Leaked! Subaru WRX Concept Revealed Ahead of New York Debut

These days, it’s rare for a new vehicle to make it to its debut without a few leaks along the way. The surprise performance concept Subaru had planned for the New York auto show is one example, and these leaked images from French auto website Blog Automobile reveal that car is indeed the concept version of the next WRX.
The leaked images look like the real deal, complete with highly detailed close-ups. The renderings reveal the next-gen WRX’s four-door sedan shape, and show unique styling compared to the standard Impreza sedan. The headlights feature a generous use of LEDs arranged in a 3D layout, and the rear end is highlighted by a quad round exhaust tips and a fin-heavy rear diffuser. As far as specs go, we’ll have to wait until the WRX concept’s actual unveiling to find out what the new model can do. As we’ve previously reported, however, output could be as high as 270 hp from a turbocharged 2.0-liter flat-four.
