Renault Twin'Z Concept announced

 Renault TwinZ Concept announced

Could hint at next-gen Twingo design

Renault revealed today the Twin'Z Concept which represents an electric supermini with five doors and a rear-wheel drive layout.
The EV is 3627mm long, 1705mm wide and 1506mm tall, with a 2495mm wheelbase and a 980 kg (2,160 lbs) weight. Power comes from a rear-mounted electric motor generating 68 bhp (50 kW) and 226 Nm (166 lb-ft) of torque, working together with four lithium-ion battery packs spaced evenly beneath the floor providing a range of up to 100 miles (161 km). It can reach a top speed of 81 mph (130 km/h).
The Renault Twin'Z Concept sits on 18-inch alloys with specially developed 205/40 R18 Michelin tires and has Ohlins dampers. It benefits from a MacPherson front and double wishbone rear suspension with a carbon fiber body and a tubular frame.
Its styling was contoured in collaboration with British designer Ross Lovegrove who also created the wheels. The concept comes with rearward opening doors and ditches the central pillar for an easier access inside where the seats are extremely thin and light. These are wrapped around in a fire-retardant and waterproof material, while the seat frame can be seen through the fabric. The center of the dashboard holds a tablet which acts as the infotainment system.
